By now, I am pretty sure you would all have heard about micellar water, you would have to be living under the rock not to!! Originating in France, suddenly micellar (in French, it is pronounced as ‘me-sellaire’) waters are trending; somewhat a cult brand of those cleansing waters among those who just want their makeup off at night without all the fuss and a million steps.
Just what is Micellar cleansing water? It is the new generation 3-in-1 cleanser that removes makeup, cleanses and soothes all at once. I love that you do not need to rub vigorously or even rinse. All you need is half a teaspoon per cotton pad, gently wipe and pat the cotton pad across your face and eye area, repeat until all make-up is removed. Simple!
I was in awe when I first received this gorgeous product. I initially tried the micellar water from the SIMPLE brand, loved it. And secondly, I was gifted the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and equally loved it too. So, how does micellar technology work? Micellar captures impurities like a magnet with no need to rub or rinse.
Together, they capture makeup, sebum and impurities within the sphere. Impurities are then trapped within the Micelles which are carried off by the Micellar water and are effectively eliminated without the need for rubbing or rinsing. The formula is enriched with soothing, purifying and toning properties.
I have a bottle of micellar water each at both my places. It’s very handy when you have had a long day and you just want to take off your makeup as soon as possible, without a fuss. Micellar water has changed my cleansing routine forever and I cannot imagine life without it now. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed and nourished.
A lovely value for money; $12 per bottle and it lasts up to approximately 200 applications. Available to purchase from March 2015 at supermarkets, pharmacies and department stores.
