The word is out – Auckland has announced an exciting new, region-wide festival, Elemental AKL, and Craft’d Wine + Spirits Festival is proud to be one of the events.
Featuring more than 50 free and ticketed events, Elemental AKL promises a captivating line-up of delicious culinary events, light shows, cultural performances and uplifting entertainment, transforming eateries and bars, theatres, public spaces right across Tāmaki Makaurau.
Craft’d founder Sue Duncan says she’s excited to have Craft’d in the lineup and her event is an essential stop on the Elemental AKL journey.
“Our vision to ‘celebrate independents’ is inspired by the incredible quality of emerging wine and spirits brands in New Zealand.
“There are 697 wineries in New Zealand and 603 of them are small production, independent brands - producing some of the country’s finest wines. Likewise, there is a proliferation of exceptional New Zealand distilleries making stunning tastes and winning awards worldwide,” says Sue.
“Craft’d will bring these wonderful innovative independent brands together under one roof for one day as part of the Elemental AKL festival and we can’t wait to show off all the products from these incredible wine and spirits entrepreneurs.
“Craft’d melds entertainment and education to create the perfect day out for both wine and spirit lovers, with masterclasses where visitors can learn more, along with food and music to complete the package,” she says.
